Brazil
In 2017 I travelled to Minas Gerais, Brazil, and ran a musical theatre course for three weeks for 9-13 year olds. I organised the course with a school that taught English, Cultura Inglesa. I then ran one-to-one singing lessons with every child who wanted a solo in the show, and ran group sessions afterwards. These classes took place every day after school hours.
The course ended in a performance in a conservatoire. The school spoke about it on the local radio and the performance was very well attended.

We Are Birmingham
I was a part of the We are Birmingham programme from April 2022 to May 2023 as a curator. I worked with a team of young, diverse artists, Beatfreeks and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, to curate the Round Room exhibit. We radically transformed the iconic room in order to challenge the stories and selection of artworks found within established museum spaces.
Over the course of the year, we curated artwork, programmed events, consulted the community and networked with the Birmingham arts scene. The exhibition reflected the historic and contemporary diversity of Birmingham by presenting an eclectic mix of art, photography and objects and new interpretations as a celebration of an evolving city. The exhibition was also a part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival and was funded by the Commonwealth Games.

Breathe
From October 2021 to January 2022 I worked with the emerging climate justice organisation Breathe. I helped organise COP26, got trained in climate justice, engaged in many community conversations, introduced climate justice in education facilities, and planned the future of the organisation.
